Sandy Lyness Real Estate Investments, LLC operates sandylynessrealestate.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We are a licensed Oregon real estate brokerage and we treat the information you give us as information belonging to a prospective or current client.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. When you submit an inquiry form, request information about a property, book a consultation, or contact us by phone or email, we may collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • The property or area you are asking about
  • Whether you are buying, selling, or investing, and your general timeline
  • Any message or detail you choose to include

We may also collect standard technical information your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages you viewed, which we use to keep the site working and understand general traffic patterns.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your inquiry and answer your questions
  • To have a licensed agent follow up with you
  • To send you property information you asked for
  • To schedule and confirm appointments and consultations
  • To send appointment reminders and follow ups
  • To meet our recordkeeping obligations as an Oregon licensed brokerage

Text messaging and your phone number

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your phone number or any mobile information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS consent are never shared with third parties for marketing. This is a firm policy with no exceptions.

If you give us your phone number and agree to receive text messages, we may send you texts relating to your inquiry, property information, appointment scheduling, appointment reminders, and follow up about your real estate needs. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of using our services. You can choose not to consent and we will still respond by phone or email.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages from us. Reply HELP for help, or call our office at (503) 897-4500. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We may share your phone number with the service providers who operate our messaging and customer relationship platform strictly so that they can deliver messages on our behalf. Those providers are not permitted to use your number for their own marketing, and no mobile opt in data is shared with them for any marketing purpose.

Email

If you give us your email address we may email you about your inquiry, properties, appointments, and our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop transactional messages about an active transaction you are part of.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • With our licensed agents. Your inquiry goes to one of our agents so they can help you.
  • With service providers. Companies that host our website, run our customer relationship platform, deliver our email and text messages, and manage our calendar. They may only use your information to provide those services to us.
  • With transaction partners, when you are in a transaction. This may include title and escrow companies, lenders you have chosen, inspectors, appraisers, and the other party's brokerage, and only as needed to complete your transaction.
  • When the law requires it. In response to a valid legal request, or where required by Oregon real estate regulations or our recordkeeping obligations.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain a normal business record. Where a transaction takes place, we keep records for the period required of an Oregon licensed brokerage.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

A note on wire fraud. We will never send you wiring instructions or bank account details by email or text, and we will never ask you to change wiring instructions that way. If you receive any message that appears to come from us asking you to send money or change payment details, do not act on it. Call our office directly at (503) 897-4500 using a number you look up yourself, and verify by voice with someone you know.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.
  • Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Call or email us to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, subject to any records we are required to keep.

Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Fair housing

We comply with the federal Fair Housing Act and Oregon fair housing law. We do not use your information to steer you toward or away from any neighborhood, and we do not make housing decisions based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, marital status, source of income, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
